My wife and I made a couple hikes here last week and today. We are trying to make Wednesday our Shawnee exercise day.
A very beautiful area we have just gotten to for the first time.
The 5th and 6th pictures are at the round Blue mailbox at the spur that looks like a driveway where trail 137 Crosses. You can park there and not do the whole circle we did starting across from High Knob Camp ground and Taking the R2R trail to 137 and going North. Last photo is where the unmarked but shown on some maps trail met High Knob road from the furthest North we got to on the first day. It came out on Park Property Just South of the houses At that powerline pole.
This was our second trip today. We went in on 137 at the blue mailbox. Saw Cowboy Hideout, then connected up with the N-S bound trail and turned north for a short way until we got to the sign and went West to Whiskey Cave, There was a small waterfall there. We then returned along the East bound bluff of Rice Hollow until we hit Cowboy Hideout again and out 137 again. Maps and GPS tracks and Coordinates soon.
