This hike was done 8-28-25 but I’m lazy.

I have an old 1966 flyer showing the trail used to go around to the West side of Rimrock So I went. Then I continued on to the South trail of Pounds Hollow lake until it petered out in the grass.

Not wanting to wade in waste deep chiggers, I turned around and explored the cliff face I saw through the trees.

It was GREAT!

Follow along through pictures.

Signs of earlier glory among the poison ivy.
That tree is way too fond of that rock.

Really nice bluffs with a hint of old trail.

Really enjoying this stuff.

Hello

Heading over there

These are just past where everyone turns back. Impenetrable for a hundred feet.

I continued until it got overgrown and headed back.

Just when you think the ridge keeps going…

That’s all. Back to the parking lot.

And I’m about to the parking lot. That’s it! It was a great hike.
