8-31-23 I returned to Jackson Hollow on the West side of the tracks again, this time following The South side of the Valley leading in and seeing a whole different line of bluffs than previous trips. I ended up leaving the regular way out past the HUGE Shelter cave. Possibly largest in the Shawnee. Not bad for no official marked trails. I don’t know why. This is as nice as the regular heavily visited West side Jackson Falls routes and trail 049. I guess the FS has enough trails to maintain as it is. This was about 7 miles of partial bushwhacking and a hard days fun!
